How I work

Whether it’s translation, technical writing, or editing — every project follows a process designed to ensure clarity, quality, and collaboration.

My 10-Step Workflow

1

Text Analysis

I review the source material to understand subject matter, style, and audience. If the text is outside my areas of expertise, I’ll gladly refer you to a trusted colleague. I’ll also flag any critical issues or quality problems that need addressing before the work begins.

2

Quote and timeline

You receive a detailed quote that outlines services, pricing, format considerations, and delivery schedule. A Purchase Order confirms the agreement. NDAs are welcomed.

3

Project planning

I create a schedule to manage writing, translation, or editing tasks, ensuring there’s room for review and revisions while staying on track.

4

Terminology management

Key terms are extracted, researched, translated, and added to a termbase with definitions and usage notes. Client validation and updates are part of the process.

5

Content creation or translation

Using advanced tools (memoQ, CMS, CCMS), I write or translate your content clearly and consistently — using approved terminology and respecting your content structure.

6

Proofreading and editing

The text is reviewed for grammar, tone, and technical accuracy. I can coordinate external reviewers if needed for an additional layer of quality.

7

Quality Assurance

Automated QA checks ensure clarity, consistency, and style adherence — followed by human review to polish the final result.

8

Delivery

You receive the final documents in the agreed format, along with confirmation of safe delivery. I archive materials for future reference if needed.

9

Feedback

I follow up to make sure you’re satisfied and to resolve any questions or final tweaks.

10

Invoicing

Invoices are issued promptly and transparently, with clear payment terms set in advance.

sustainable workflow

Sustainability is part of my workflow

As a fully remote professional, I take a practical and responsible approach to reducing environmental impact. I work entirely with digital tools, minimize printing, and avoid unnecessary travel.

When travel is required — for on-site training or client meetings — I prioritize low-impact options such as public transportation, car sharing, and train travel whenever possible. I also plan trips efficiently, often combining multiple engagements in one itinerary to reduce emissions.

I help clients do the same by delivering documentation and training materials in digital formats optimized for reuse and localization — cutting down on rework, duplication, and waste.

My goal is to provide communication solutions that are not only effective, but also environmentally responsible.
